Introduction

ACSOLAR XXI, S.L.L. is a company from Navarra engaged in providing advisory services, executing projects, installing and maintaining renewable energy installations of up to 100 kW for small and medium-sized users, using a combination of photovoltaic solar energy, thermal solar energy, geothermal energy, biomass and wind energy, as well as domotics and bioclimatic architecture.

Outstanding facilities and infrastructures related to R&D:

ACSOLAR currently has the capability to design, provide advice and install a combination of:

1. Photovoltaic installations: both connected to grid (for sale of energy to the electricity grid) and autonomous (isolated installations where users need to generate their own electricity).

2. Thermal installations: the energy intake comes mainly from the sun and they are used for running hot water, heating, industrial processes, heating swimming pools, etc. The solar energy is almost always supported by other more autonomous energies such as biomass or geothermal.

3. Bioclimatic architecture: The design of a home or building, choice of insulation, orientation, glazing, shading, shape factor, renewable energies, etc. can lead to a 70% reduction of the energy consumption of a home or building, as well as greater comfort.

4. Energy saving and efficiency installations: These are already existent or newly constructed buildings where the energy expenditure is reduced thanks to the application of new technologies, funded partly by state organisations via subsidies.

5. Installations with automated smart control, namely, domotics that offer users energy saving, comfort, security and communication. In this sense, ACSOLAR XXI has developed a novel system to monitor the panel efficiency, so customers know the state of their installations and can detect any anomalies that might occur (such as, for example, theft of panels).
