Introduction
-----------------------
Ingeteam Energy, founded in 1990, currently develops and supplies control and governing systems for the Renewable Energies sector. More specifically, Ingeteam designs products for the wind power, PV, hydropower, biomass and biofuel sectors:
- Wind turbine generators.
- Turbine governors and generator regulators.
- Wind power converters.
- Software and hardware for plant and systems control.
- Grid-connected PV inverters.
- Remote controls for wind farms and hydropower plants.
- Telecontrol and SCADA systems for wind farms and hydropower, biomass and biofuel plants.
- Services for the technical and commercial operation, and maintenance, of renewable energy facilities.
- Engineering and supply of control panels and electrical equipment.
Ingeteam's brand new building, located within the Parque de la Innovación de Navarra, serves as a base for its management, R&D, commercial and administration activities.
Total staff: 187
Personnel engaged in R&D: 72
Outstanding facilities and infrastructures related to R&D:
-----------------------
Throughout its history, Ingeteam has firmly supported the development of in-house technology, as the following key data clearly demonstrate:
- Over the last few years Ingeteam has invested more than 3% of its turnover into new product research.
- Two thirds of the company's facilities at the Parque de la Innovación are dedicated to R&D.
- Ingeteam is in permanent contact with universities and technology centres, collaborating in joint technical development and teaching projects.
- Ingeteam actively participates in projects centred on research into new energy sources.
Recent work in the wind power sector includes:
- A brand new topology for wind turbines at variable speed but without a direct connection between the power converter and the Grid, representing a competitive advantage in windpower market.
- Adapting the company's equipment to the new Spanish Electricity Grid standard.
- New blade control hardware.
- High power wind turbine projects.
- Technical certification in foreign markets.
- New concepts in energy conversion.
Whilst in the solar area:
- Development of a new range of three-phase grid-connected inverters.
- A recently-developed dual axis solar tracking control.
- PV plant monitoring via the Internet and SMS messages.
- Hybrid equipment for stand-alone electricity networks.
And in the hydropower, biomass and biofuel areas:
- Engineering, supply and commissioning of control panels, protection systems and electric equipment for hydropower, biomass, biofuel plants and substations.
- Telecontrol and SCADA systems for electricity generating plants
